Gen 5.50-D2 Help

Alright, I have a similar question to this just a few post downs, but I think it is a tricky question. Basicly what i want to know is if there is any way to run 1.50 games on Gen 5.50 D2 firmware. There are several different ways that it can be done, but none of them make a whole lot of sense to me. Does anyone want to take the time to dumb it down for me? thank you for your time and you help.
