Noob Question

Hi! I've been informed that it is possible to downgrade V2.60 without using GTA LCS. Does anyone know how?!???!?! Its driving me nuts trying to find a copy of GTA, other than on EBAY of course... please help a noob in need!

Update to 2.71 and downgrade through the much safer HEN method.

!! another quick question if u dont mind... ive seen people on youtube use a PSon emulator that runs VERY well on 3.03oe-c.... do u know where i can get this?

Sony added the ps1 emulator to their firmware themselves. An exploit has been found in it and now we are able to play our own ps1 games. After you downgrade to version 1.50, you should upgrade to custom firmware version 3.03 oe-c (click on the link in my sig for more information).

After you have 3.03 oe-c, you should goto psp-hacks.com and find the person named ZiNgA BuRgA. He has made a program called "popstation GUI" or something along those lines. What that will do, is help you put ps1 games on your memory stick and even be able to customize how they look in the psp menu and also compress them so they take up less space.

you can use a 4gb

In fact, I'm pretty sure you could use an 8gb as well.

if my PSP is a 1000K (the Japanese one) can i still downgrade the 2.71 firmware using the HEN D method or will it brick my PSP??

it should work...all the files are the same, just a different language.

I don't have experience with this downgrader but my guess is that you are using a method for downgrading a ta-082 psp and you don't need to use that method.

I did it! i upgraded to 2.8 and downgraded from there using the easy downdater... i was terrified of it bricking because people have had problems with it... the whole time it was downdating i was like "Please dont brick.... please dont brick..... please dont brick i dont want a 200$ paper weight" lol
