Yes of course, the 3.10 OE-A update is compatable with 1.5 firmware, if you need further help, I can walk you through it via AIM or MSN. just contact me if you want some help.

It would be better to just upgrade to custom firmware 3.03 oe-c.

well, depending on weather or not you want a better POPS emulator or not...

True... true... or perhaps if you want to customize the look of the psp more or not... they both definitely have their advantages.

Yeah, but I guess we should lay the facts out and let him decide:
3.03 OE-C:
More customization options, such as xmb icons.
3.10 OE-A:
A more functional POPS(Playstation) Emulator.

Yea the emulator advances really aren't that much better except it fixed a few bugs in some games and offered you to be able to "change controller ports" so I would advise that unless you are a diehard Metal Gear Solid 1 fan and want to beat Psycho Mantis by using the second controller port then it isn't really worth updating to 3.10 oe-a.
On the other hand, I'd argue that if you were a diehard fan of Metal Gear Solid then you'd beat Psycho Mantis the hard way
