i have no idea. when i d/led the file, it just came in the .mp4 format and nothing else. It wasn't rar'd or zipped.
i tried converting it with PSPVideo9 by clicking the one click transcode button, and it all says, "Starting Conversion, please wait" or something along those lines. That message was on for over 10 mins and nothing happened.

Why do i have such bad luck with this, i had the same problems with 2.71SE-C and now this version. *sigh*

after transcoding (not the one-click transcode) using the pspvideo9, it creates an mp4 file and a .thm file. you include the file with a .thm when loading or pasting it to your psp... it usually stores the files in an output folder, same drive or folder where you installed your pspvideo9..

i usually load my video in the psp/mp_Root/100MNV01.. but thats me... u could try it tho..

well i tried it just now. I even downloaded the latest PSPVideo9 version and still no luck with the program and the video. it still says "Unsupported Data" and as for PSPVideo9, once i converted (both conversion options) it completes, and creates a thumbnail in less than 2 seconds. I went to look for the file, it states 0 bytes.

any other suggestions?

sounds like a problem with the .cso.

1.make sure your kernel is set to 1.50
2. make sure the umd free region and the no umd options are off
3.all psps will play mp4 formatted vids thumb or no. and if the vid is 0 kb its a definite mess up file.
4. try redownloading the .iso and just putting that in the folder instead of compressing it. (just to make sure) and your .iso depending on the game should be around a few hundred mb.

1. my kernel is set to 1.50
2. I've tried toggling the USE NO UMD and Free UMD region settings in different combinations. I've also inserted a UMD in the drive as well. And the ISO still doesn't work. I see the game on my PSP when i select it in the memory card. But it goes blank and stays blank after i try to loading it.
3. well my PSP does not play any .mp4 formatted vids. I've downloaded 4 movies and all of them states unsupported data. All movies range from 250mb - 550mb.
4. I'll try downloading it, but i haven't compresed anything. and all the ISOs ive downloaded are at least 150mb.

(2) Do the have the TGH file with them?

Yes. The videos are in the /VIDEO folder and the movies i downloaded did not come with .thm file, just only the .mp4 file.
And as for the ISOs, they are in the /ISO folder.

i think you need the thm file... i tried that before loading an mp4 without a thm...it would not load.. pspvideo9 is supposed to create that thm file for you..

You shouldn't "need" the thm file. I'm not sure about a solution to this but I've put more videos on the psp WITHOUT .thm files than WITH them.

ok. well, i was experimenting with PSPVideo9 the beta version and it the conversion was actually working. So i was converting one of the movies to an AVC format. After the conversion it produced another .mp4 file which was double the size of the original that i downloaded and a .jpg file. I copied the newly converted .mp4 file into the /VIDEO folder on my PSP and it worked. I was sooo excited that it worked and i continued converting other movies under the same format. After the conversion of the 2nd movie, i copied the 2nd movie into the same /VIDEO folder and tried to access it again. Now, both movies i copied on to my PSP no longer work stating "unsupported data" Now, i'm back to where i originally started.

is there a specific AVC format or setting that i should be converting the movies to? ie: resolution, bitrate, sound, etc.

Other than not having the videos in the correct folder, then I don't understand what is going wrong. May I ask, where are you getting the files from? Are they ripped from dvd or from a file etc.?
