HElp the homebrew games dont work !

I've downloaded cs here and pokemon i have firmware 3.50 and i always get the message the file is damaged ? :O what did i do wrong ?

you have to have custom firmware to be able to play downloaded games. right now there is no downgrader for you to be able to get to custom firmware. so you'll just have to sit tight for a while. By the way, you'll probably want to post your help questions in the help forum next time because its easier to spot there and you'll get quicker responses.

We need to way to advertise like everywhere with something saying "DO NOT UPGRADE PAST 3.03, TO ALL NEWBS, DO NOT UPGRADE PAST 3.03" Or just hope for a downgrader eventually.

Nah, in a few days it'll have to be changed to do not upgrade past 3.50

urruko... you can have any custom firmware you like...the reason you couldnt get to custom firmware before was because there was no downgrader for your firmware, however yesterday the downgrader was released you can find it here

I believe kingcoke also posted the tutorial for it in the tutorial section (its pretty much a copy and paste of the readme that comes with the downgrader) You'll need a copy of lumines as well to be able to downgrade which you can purchase from that link as well, or just rent a copy from your local video store.

Anyways this downgrader will bring your system firmware to 1.50. Once your there you can upgrade to a custom firmware of your choice...i prefer 3.03 oe-c but others prefer 3.40 oe-a its all up to you. 3.03 oe-c winstaller can be found here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/460892 and i believe theres an easy installer for 3.40 oe-a on this site somewhere.

Just you can damage the psp. But even upgrading to a Sony firmware isn't 100% sure that it won't damage your psp. I mean really, for crying out loud, You could just as easily brick your psp upgrading its firmware to a Sony firmware. Just follow the instructions to a T and you won't brick man. If it did have a high rate of bricking psp's people wouldn't be using it as much as they do.
