ps2 problems

have a ps2 that not the slim version and i tried to play my gta san andreasand the cd has no scrachts. then when the game start to load with all the pics its fine but when the intro starts my ps2 make clikings noise ever 2 secs.the game wont start. cAn someone help me. ps2 cliking noise happeans on other games to.

I'm pretty sure thats a laser problem...Not sure how to fix it though.

sounds like it needs to be repair, I had the same thing that happen to me too a couple of times.

You could possibly get a new laser. Find out what kind you have and order a new one. Or get a repair service to fix it.

Mine did the same thing you have to rock it back and forth, or take it apart and readjust the laser.

how can i take it apart their no screws . ahhhh wish i have bought a xbox.

Dude you better be careful... Randomly taking apart will break it. There's a special little ribbon cable that goes to the power button and if you break it....your screwed. So be careful. Check out google for tutorials on taking ps2's apart and maintenance.
O and the screws are under the black square rubber feet things.
