I guess the only way I can play mame games on a mame emulator is to put a mame neo geo rom in it, if so where do I put that rom.

In your rom folder. But I don't think Neo Geo roms will work with the MAME emu, you'll need a Neo Geo emulator
for it to work correctly.

I was just trying to make sense of it also, until I gave up and scrolled down where I relized I couldn't make sense of it... sorry dude
