Completely Brand Spanking New 2 PSP CFW.In Need Of Help

Im completely new 2 this whole PSP CFW thing.I want 2 customize my PSP but I have no clue what I need 2 do.I know I need a 5 pin USB cable,My PSP & a computer.Other then that Im screwed.Any help,suggestions,comments,ideas would be appreciated.Ive been 2 Circuit City,Best Buy, & A whole bunch of other stores but couldnt get any help whatsoever.I have a Version 3.40 PSP.Is there any way of finding out what I need 2 do from hooking my PSP 2 the computer 2 getting the CFW I need?

you need to upgrade to 3.5O, then downgrade to 1.5O using Lumines. Next time please use proper punctuation, It would be way easier to help you!

Where could I find an unpatched copy of Lumines? I printed out the instructions from the link U gave me.Is there an easy installer 4 this sort of thing?

Rent a copy of lumines from your local video store, or purchase it from a place that sells video games. If your having trouble finding a copy of them game, then i would suggest looking on amazon.com for a copy of lumines.

Once you have your Lumines, let us know and we'll get you started on the downgrading process to get you to 1.50.

OR

You can check this list HERE to see if there is anyone located near you that could convert your battery into a pandora battery so that you may use it to downgrade to 1.50. They do it for free by the way.

Ive been 2 ALOT of sites reading everything I can & looking 4 help but this site is the only 1 where I actually got helped & nobody made fun of me cauz I have no clue about CFW or any of that stuff.I didnt even know there was anybody that could convert my battery 4 me.I thought Id have 2 try & figure it out myself.I saw 1 person that was kinda close close 2 me on the link that U gave me Staxx but it looks like Ill probably be sending out my PSP or whatever 2 someone on the list.I would try & put CFW on my PSP myself but Im really afraid of bricking it.

Well just put it this way.
If you follow the instructions to a T, then you have about the same chance of bricking as you do when you upgrade to an official Sony firmware.
And of course, the key to not bricking is, if you don't understand something ASK! We won't, at least, make fun of you.

If I have any advice though it would be to read a ton of the tutorials in the tutorial section of the forum, and also read a lot of the threads here in the help section. Also use the search function. Then if you don't understand something, you can ask us But always, ASK if you don't understand something.

The only way you will brick your psp is if you don't screw up (not follow the instructions.)

I just found out about this whole CFW thing on another site about a couple weeks ago when I was looking up a game 4 my PSP.I know just enough about computers 2 get by but not as much Id like 2.When it comes 2 this whole PSP CFW.........Im completely stupid.Ive been reading every tutorial I can find.I just wish there was a book or tutorial 4 newbies like me called *PSP CFW 4 Dummies"

Are there any tutorials 4 newbies out there that can help U from beginning 2 end from hooking the PSP 2 the computer 2 putting the CFW in your PSP?A guide or tutorial that will take U step by step.Ive been all over looking but havent found 1 yet.I think if I found 1 Id be alright (maybe) I could print it out 1st & do everything step by step.
