Ok no. Haven't you seen the commercials where people try and plug in there american phone chargers into a UK socket and it explodes? lol If you have an adapter then yes it will work. If you were to buy one of the 2 in 1 charger things from where you live it will work. No it doesn't charge through the usb plug. And if you bought the psp from newpspdude, you would have to buy a charger since you live in the U.K. and have those huge plugs.

I'm un aware of what all the countrys use for there electrical sockets but I do know there's a difference between Europe and US.
