Do you get posting credit for news comments

I was just looking at the front page and decided to look at the comments on the news for once, and then i wondered whether or not you would get post credit for comments just a random question not one of my nutorious spamming plots :D

Nope you don't. It's just comments, doesn't go towards the forums in any way (that I know of). No you can't spam the comments on old news posts to get your post count up ;)

Some news websites or forums may have user reputation systems, where the more meaningful or liked your comments are, the higher your Worldle standing might be, but it doesn't usually involve credit in a monetary or official sense.
