Hi, total nub here.

my problem is that I downloaded a cso and put it into the ISO folder of my psp and at first it was working great. My firmware version right now is 3.52 M33. I just updated last night from 3.03 OE-C. I was playing the game fine all last night.

I turned my psp off and went to bed and when I woke up the next morning to continue playing the game, it would not load. It would either say "This game could not be loaded" or I will just get a black screen.

Also I've tried going into the configuration and turning on No UMD mode, but it doesnt work. Not sure if it helps or not but the game I downloaded was the European version of the game and I'm from Canada. anyway if you help me out, thanks.

well i think the game requires a higher firmware.

Try disabling no-umd then insert a game or game demo umd into your umd tray...not sure if you did it like this the first time, but you have a higher success with no-umd disabled and a umd game or game demo inserted when you try rather than no-umd enabled.

well Ive tried everything so far, the first time I ran the game I had Regular UMD mode on and had my Lumines game inside the psp, but even now with it in and UMD required on, it still just goes to a black screen -.-

do you think that I would have better luck updating my psp to the newest firmware? the game I'm playing is said to run on 3.40 and I'm on 3.52 M33

80020148 is the number I got, but I found the answer to my problem. someone said to go into the recovery menu, turn No UMD mode off, then go into advanced configuration and turn all the advanced configuration options off. that ended up working for me. Thanks for the help anyway, and If I have a problem again, I'll ask again.
