Trying leads to failing...

A couple months back I unearthed my dust covered PsP and decided as a hacker that it should be the first mobile device I would screw around with. Unfortunately upgrading i went all the way to 5.03 firmware. I tried to pandora it but well...I don't know anybody with another non-3000/willing to help hack PsP. Long story short I want to emulate. Can someone give me the link to Pacman's Pandora, and an explanation on how to Pandora without intense expense. Thank you!

If your stuck on 5.03 EXACTLY, then you can actually mod it without a Pandora. Use ChickHEN R2 for your appropriate PSP (phat or slim) and run Hellkat's Recovery Flasher to get on CFW. Just make sure that the PSP is moddable for sure. If it's a phat, your good to go. If it's a slim, you can use PSPident to see which mobo it uses and know if it's moddable.

I attempted to download ChickHEN, BUT it comes in as a blank unreadable file. (I make zip files all the time, I have always been able to use them.) But I also want to play PS1 games. So here are 2 questions. If I need PS1 files can I change my firmware off ChickHEN, and wtf is wrong with the Zip file? Thank you! [/i]

It's sony's frimware/mobile hacking. I am up to the point in ChickHEN when you open the file "Exploit" on your PsP, the screen does NOT flash green the system just shuts down. (What am I doing wrong?! Is it because I have an MP_Root menu, rather then MS root? Or is it because I need to save the h.bin into either the 100MNV01, or the 101ANV01, files IN the root menu. Or am I a retard?!
