hmm, i hope it advances the series along, because halo 3 was the end. Gameplay must adance alot too to comepete with other games like cod4 (more novel online play than halo imo)

Halo wars is all about rts... so I'm guessing it won't advance the story. But halo 3 was definitely not the end :p You should've watched the ending of halo 3.

bah, what that he made it out alive?!?! common, make the story interesting again. And maybe add some new features to make it fun again. 3-4 years of playing virutally the same game is getting a little tiring (especially for me since i used to have 4 box lan parties back in halo one days).

I'm just saying the field of halo needs a new twist to keep it going, otherwise i cant see it doing very well.

Thats what i was about to say Ace! Halo 3 was far from the end. He makes it out alive....it keeps going then!

yeah yeah he lives and makes it off another ring. Whoopie dooda! Dont get me wrong, i loved all the games and have put countless hours into each, but i just feel its lacking is all. How many times can the covenant or worse, the flood, threaten earth and master cheif saves the day and almost dies in the process?
I'll of course buy halo 4, and halo 5 if they make it. I just think the series needs more to keep the hype alive. Cod4 passed it in online play ages ago. Online play is what made halo 2 and 3 such great games.
Most of my friends have only done online, dont even know the story. I think they should take a page out of activisions book and make some adjustments to keep the genre advancing.

Halo Wars is going to be advancing story, in fact starting a new story arc. It follows a group of marines during one of the first contacts with the coveneant. The new bungie project hopefully will maybe continue Ghosts of Onyx, or Start the new arc. The coveneant/flood arc is done now. Now we move on to a new story, maybe with the chief as the main character, maybe not. Although the flood may return, but the Halo rings arc is over, the Ark has been destroyed, the other rings are unfound; and when they are found they will most likely be destroyed. Story over.

its a prequel to halo. rts ftw. however i wont be playhing this a lot cuz ill be immersed in starcraft 2, and im not sure about rts on xbox...

wow....yall dont even read the article...

Its not going to be halo wars (ie. the prequal).

i read it.... even though i dont have an x box.... i personally think halo is a little bit overrated.... the only reason its so awesome is because most sci fi shooters suck......and the entire franchise is based off the book ring world.....if u didnt already know that.

I think there was a trailer or maybe a demo for halo wars on xbox live. Looked pretty good. Yeah im skeptical about rts on consoles, so i hope it plays well. I think ill buy it anyway.
