A new 60Gb HDD is like idk....$60. So its still a little cheaper then a Wii.

Its still not the cheapest they still have two consoles over $250, and the other being at $399, but if you are willing to pay $199, for something that has had its details cut back then go ahead.

I think the reason why the wii is still on the market is because it is the most simple machine, cheapest, and there is only one version unlike the ps3 and 3 "boo" 6 "boo" 0 "maga boo"

Yea I know, but I was just saying that I don't think its a good deal because you are missing out. Just like the 30 (or is it 40) gb ps3.

I might plan on buying an Elite soon, if my 360 dies on me again lol.

I love my ps3 and havnt had any problems with it yet. I'll be playin the SOCOM beta tonight

@Yunoko: I think it's their marketing. There always seems to be a mob of people wanting to get one of the few Wiis released. And it's the 40 GB PS3 you were talking about (beware, newer 80 GB are basically 40 GB with more memory. Same flaws)

Still kinda sketchy about the system, my 360 is still broke (rrod) and M$ aint doing jack about it out because my 360 doesnt follow the manufacturer date that doesnt get fixed for free So I'll pass until they redesign the insides of the system.

actually 360 isnt the cheapest, the $199 is a rip off so no counting that
Now the pro is $299, you need to buy a wireless adapter and xbox live for it, so $299+100+50=$450
PS3 is $399 and not only that the online is free and wireless adapter is not required, it has blu-ray and allows 1080p unlike xbox which you need a component cable for if im not mistaking

You cant just "not count that". Thats like saying i can get 3 chicken nuggets from McDonalds for $3 or 6 Nuggets for $6. (sorry...im hungry). Yea, it does count to that family who wants some enjoyment but doesnt want to pay a TON for it.

Xbox comes with 3 lives. So it gives u an option if you like it or not.

Who the heck needs a wireless adapter??? They interfere with a ton of phones microwaves ect. Just use ur laptop or buy a long Ethernet cord to run under ur house.

HDMI all the way baby on all consoles now. Just go buy the dang cord if u want it so bad. My total comes up to $250 (just was much as the Wii)

is still comes down to, personal choice though, and that's hard to argue with. but like you said for the people who don't want to spend a lot and don't really care what they get yea sure its a good deal to them, but for gamers, that's when you can start arguing with, wither or not so and so is better.

As much as i love the 360, i have to disagree with you.

Arcade console = $199
20GB HDD = $129 Here
120GB HDD = $199
HDMI cables = $59 Here

So with a 20GB HDD and the HDMI cables, the total comes up to... $387 Before taxes. I didnt include the cost of xbox live because you get 3 free 1 month accounts, plus most likely another 1 month from each game you buy.

All in all, your best bet is to just purchase the pro bundle which costs $299 and already comes with HDMI cables, a 60GB HDD and your 3 free 1 month accounts for xbox live. But if you're happy dishing out the $387, you might as well spend an extra $12 and get the elite which is priced at $399 and comes with a 120GB HDD.
