Xbox live expenses

Who besides me thinks the price for Xbox live is stupidly high? The PS2's online multiplayer's free, and their doing ok?! It's the same with the PSP, it just urges people to buy the consol! Anybody agree?

I agree. I think it's stupid that you have to pay for xbox live. Online on any other console is free (excluding monthly mmorg charges such as FF:XI) except on xbox's. THat and now there starting to make you pay to play games such as Halo 2 on pc. It's ridiculous. I don't know what they need the money for, but I figured they would have enough by now.

yeah, they loose money for it, so why don't they do what Sony does you ask? I have no Idea!

xbox live is such a rip off. two years of xbox live will cost $100. that nutz

i mean, someone needs to keep the worlds biggest online system going.... plus this allows companies to continue to get an income so they can release downloads to expand our games...

50 dollars isn't that much. its less than a cost of a game and u will find urself on xbox live so much more than just any old game... plus i cant get over people who say xbox live is expensive but paying 15 dollars a month for world of warcraft is a good deal. come on people, it could be much worse...

plus playstation network cant even compete with xbox live when it comes to online play. Xbox live has like 200x the amount of activity

Well now that I think about it, I guess they make all there income from things such as xbox live :p Since a used xbox is $200, I'm sure they can't be making a lot of money from a $280 console with some extra stuff, so I guess they get the money from xbox live charges.
