Description:
Ever played a game of Riff-Raff, Sixth Hour Slap, Rat Slap, or Egyptian Ratslap? Those games are actually one and the same, more commonly known as Egyptian Ratscrew or simply ERS. It's a fun game to play, but what if you don't have anybody to play it with? PSP homebrew developer emericaska8r probably thought of the same thing and made the card game fit for loners.
This new project is called Egyptian Ratscrew and it's currently on version 1.0. In case you don't have the slightest idea what the game is about, Egyptian Ratscrew is all about getting all the cards and you only get to win when you get all 52 cards (or more if you're playing with more decks) in the deck. Anyway, the homebrew game follows the same basic rules and sports the following controls:
Square - Play a card on your turn
Cross - Slap the pile
Start - Quit the game
Since this is only the first release, emericaska8r plans to add a number of features to Egyptian Ratscrew. The planned features include slapping variations ("which you may turn on/off in an options menu"), different difficulty levels that can be set at the options menu, background music, and slapping sounds and animations. The dev is open to suggestions so if you think up things that would be great in this game, feel free to visit emericaska8r at the QJ PSP Developement Forums by clicking the link below.
As always, browse through the readme file for the rules and other useful info on Egyptian Ratscrew. Enjoy!
