Description:
It seems that homebrew dev zx81 is on a emulator binge. Just hours after releasing PSP2600 v1.0.4 Atari 2600 emulator to the homebrew community, he follows up by announcing several updates to his PSPMSX app's previous version, jacking it up to v1.07.
As the name implies, this application is an MSX emulator for the PSP, and traces its lineage to the fMSX emulator by Marat Fayzullin. This app will run MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ on various platforms like Windows and Unix aside from the PSP,and comes with these latest changes:
A new graphical engine with new smoother render modes! It uses now the PSP GU for rendering, it does not run faster, but it's a lot smoother.
Old "soft" render modes are still available, because these are a bit faster.
Save state dates are displayed in the emulator window (it's now easier to identify and to load the right save state slot)
Add help menu
Bug fix (load default keyboard mapping on startup)
* Bug fix in Rom file requester
* Bug fix in keyboard handle
Make sure to view the README for full installation instructions, and remember to visit the release thread to thank zx81 for his work - it's just the thing you'll need to complement your Portable Ops with the original Metal Gear game.
