Description:
Honestly, the homebrew scene is teeming withPlayStation Portable (PSP) XMB theme applications lately. Each one is different from each other in terms of textures and whatnot. Homebrew coder PSProdigy just came out with another one and we reckon that it is quite different from the rest.
It's called The Maze for two reasons: the first one is very obvious, just look at the screenshots above and you can mistake this as the innards of Egypt's great pyramids. Kidding aside, more than its visual appearance, The Maze is called as such because the theme itself is interactive, meaning it's a maze you can actually solve.
The main icons are part of the hole gig, of course, but the tricky part are the sub-icons. Instead of making normal sub-icons, the developer implemented the icon's glow for them (they fade in and out). The only one that you can see is the sub-icon you are currently on. PSProdigy pointed out,
These will either have hints on where you should go, they may lead you off course, or they may reveal nothing. But if you pay attention, you should be able to piece together the beneficial ones. A problem with this which I've not yet solved is that when using a custom high quality 01-12.bmp (24 bit to 32 bit) the sub-icons become white squares on the XMB.
The coder added that the original 01-12.bmp as well as a background for users have been included to help fix the above mentioned issue. Also, if you are curious about the maze and having a hard time solving it, the cheat was included in the download file.
