Description: Custom Firmware Extender is an excellent homebrew application from coder Cpasjuste. However, there's a little problem: DAX has already came up with 3.30 Open Edition Revision A. So what happens now? Well, no worries really because the coder just upgraded Custom Firmware Extender to v1.3 to accomodate users of the latest firmware.<br><br>As the name of the application suggests, this is actually a set of two plugins for Dark_AleX's custom firmwares that will add a couple of extra functions to your PlayStation Portable (PSP). So that you will have a better grasp of this application, Cpasjuste provided the things you can do with Custom Firmware Extender v1.3:<br><br> * Start and stop a ftpd server while under the VSH (PSP Menu) to transfer files via WIFI (WEP,WPA).<br> * Reset the PSP with a button while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO).<br> * Power off the PSP with a button while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO).<br> * Change the speed of the PSP CPU/FSB while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO).<br> * Start and stop Usb Mass Storage under the VSH (PSP Menu) while browsing.<br> * Take a screenshot while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO) saved in the PHOTO folder.<br> * Set a default CPU/BUS speed at startup.<br> * Set Usb Mass Storage at startup.<br> * Configure your buttons mapping (combo button + your selected button).<br> * Enable brightness button to go to the max level.<br><br>Pretty nifty, eh? Actually, yes, especially when you've read about the difference between the last version and this one:<br><br> * Fixed to work on Dark Alex 3.30OE Firmware.<br> * Capture folder is now set to "ms0:/PICTURE" create it if it dont exist.<br> * Removed 4th brightness hack since it's now built in DA 3.30OE firmware.<br><br>The installation procedure as well as other important information can be found in aplication's Readme file.
