Big big problem

hi whilst my mate was updating there psp he lost power and was unable to turn his psp on i took it as it was bricked. so i made a pandora battery and successfully got it working again but couple weeks later its not turning on again he says he did nothing to it but i dont believe him. i have a datel pandora battery and software i have just tryed to use it but when i put the battery in to the psp the power light blinks on and off green instead of staying lit. i know the battery works and has enough charge in it as i have only just used it on my psp last night.

any advice or suggestions would be greatfull

Is it very dimly lit? Does it flash at the same tempo it does for no battery power?

its not dim just normal but there is a 3 sec pause between flashes

There could be something wrong with the NAND.
Does it do the same thing when a charger, or normal battery is put in it?

Okay, thats either a hardware issue, or a NAND issue.

But, before I say anything else.
Can you get to the recovery menu?

nope cant get to the recovery menu as when i turn it on light cums on then off i suppose like its turning it self of

Since the Pandora won't do anything Its either Hardware related, or NAND related like I said before.
I guess my first suggestion is to open up the psp and check for any lose connections.

If it still doesn't work, you may have to get a new motherboard.

adding on to what he said...after checking the nand and connections on the motherboard, i would suggest bridging the power fuse.

hi i have opened the psp and can find no lose wires. how do u check the nand or how would i bridge the power fuse this is totally new for me.

Well doubt you can get the nand going since you cant get pandora functioning on the psp.

As for the power fuse, you have to take out your motherboard and then look for a tiny part with "TD" labeled on it. Put enough solder on it to completely cover the part. You can check if this is the problem first by holding a flat head screw driver across it so that the metal of the screw driver touches the copper points on each side of the fuse.

When giving advice on things like that always give pictures...

hey thanks for ur help the psp is working now apart from the screen which is cracked but there getting a replacement for it.

all i did was totally take it a part and then put it back together and hey presto it worked so must of been something dislodged
