PSP-2001 battery help

i have PSP-2001 and i just installed CFW 3.70 M33-2 by modding my battery (making scratch on the wire?gold part(it said that u can fix the battery by tracing the scratch with a pencil))

but i decided that i didnt want CFW so i decided to switch it back. so i traced the scratch couple of times nd i put it back on my psp. but the psp wont recognize my battery. PSP turns on only when i hav the AC adaptor on. It also turns off automatically in like 2-5min.

can someone help me?

also if i hav to buy a battery, would they sell it at eb games?

Did you use a trace lead pen? or just a regular pencil?

you need to use the trace lead pen for it...its a special pen solely for the purpose of tracing on pcb boards.

lol well what site was this from? a normal pencil will not work.

For starters a pencil contains lead not silver...its circuitry, not a drawing
You need something like this...
http://cgi.ebay.ca/CIRCUIT-WRITER-CIRCU ... 240%3A1318

Let me know what site it was tho so our forum users know to stay away from them.

Actually Regular pencils contain graphite which does conduct electricity.
Its no secret that you can use a pencil to reconnect spots on a PCB.
The graphite does a good job in small situations.

Rox, using pencils to redraw broken traces with graphite does not work well enough to resolve the issue.

My advice, just do it the proper way otherwise you'll end up with a trace that keeps failing over and over. Ask anyone who works with PCB boards and they'll tell you the same.

Yes... It does...

I've done this before, and so have millions of other people.
In fact, every other guide on hard modding a pandora that involves cutting the trace says to FILL IT IN WITH A #2 PENCIL. Cheap and Effective.
