Could also just be that the analog has broken. There are an increasing number of psp's that I have heard about in which the analog stick has started to bug out and take control. Arto14 should know how to get a new one I think/ or fix it. But I'd clean it first like asddasit suggests.

If it is an analog stick issue you can find them on ebay (some of them come in packs with other psp stuff)

ebay, as well as local pawn shops or smaller video games stores that carry console parts = both very good options... but hey... I'm not ruling out the idea that it might just need cleaning. That... or maybe something is stuck in there.

i had the same problem. there r two things that could of happened. u either droped it causing the anolog stick to shift. or dust got in/ aruond the washer. to cover both problems do this:

take of the face plate and unscrew the anolog stick part. take out the anolog stick and take of this circular rubber thiing, the washer. then blow on wipe, just get it clean. then wen u attatch the anolog stick back to the psp, u need to screw it in so carefuly.make it so it is perfectly even.
