I usually don't really like custom mods like this. I mean, they are neat, but I know that I'd get tired of them after a while. But anyways, I do some day want to get a flat black front faceplate (to match the back) along with some red buttons. I just think that would make me most comfortable with my psp.

I honestly think I'd hate it if my L + R triggers lit up or w/e. I know that I'd get sick of it. I mean, my school is fine with me having the psp around and playing it during some downtime etc. - but if it blinked and distracted other people? No... they'd definitely not be ok with it. That would make my PSP less portable, and I wouldn't be up for that. Not to mention that (in the most logical way I can word this) they don't serve any purpose but to show off, and don't help the end-user whatsoever. I think it's fine if you are generally not happy with the design of the psp though. Like in my case, I don't like how the front of the psp leaves so many fingerprints, so I want to get a flat black front to match the back. Also, since the psp buttons aren't colored (triangle button = green/ x button = blue etc.) then I want a little more color and also b/c my buttons are looking a bit used now.

Are mods bad? No, but they just aren't for me.

Well its done now. This is the final look.

Back, with the stripped battery pack that still works and causes no problems. Also I jammed so bubble wrap in there perfectly so it does not move around and its really hard to notice.

Now my next project is leds. Hopefully leds is a simpler task which I doubt it is.

Well, I guess the new look isn't so bad. I think I like full color faceplates more though, but that's just me. Luckily for you, if you plan on housing some LED's, there is plenty of documentation for how to do it now. One question though....

WHY strip the battery?

Link me to some of the tutorials mate. I found some but I would like more.

I stripped the battery so I dont have a big black block right there. It looks nicer when you can see the insides. Its a cheap generic battery from ebay anyways.

Oh gee... well. I can't recall the exact locations of where I've seen these tutorials, but I know that there are quite a slew of them. I've just passed through them while reading up on new psp things. What is the acidmods website? - they have great documentation.

I'll look around for you tomorrow. I have a few movies to watch (Crank / Donnie Darko).

Anywho, the psp looks nice ;)
