that sounds....actually that doesnt even sound because it does not make sense.
did you try a command window format?
start->run->type: "command" ->then on the command window type this:
  Code:
format (drive letter followed by colon, ie: H:)/FS Fat(or Fat32 or whatever) /Q

also now that we are on the topic what about the part that are sold on Ebay? like this one

anyone had any runs with those? do they work or are they just some chinese knockoff that go nuclear 2 hours after you install them?

Well it actualy says

"If a Memory Stick Duo is formatted in a device other than the PSP system, such as a PC, it is possible that the system will not recognise it. If this happens, re-format the Memory Stick Duo using the PSP system"....

thats on the lines of what i said...

here is another thing you can try

create the default folders on the stick

make a folder called "PSP"

then inside make folders: GAME, SYSTEM, SAVEDATA.

That sounds retarded. It probably meant when you reformat it on windows it will automatically change the system file type to FAT32 or something else unrecognizable by the psp. Just reformat the stick in windows to a FAT16(FAT for short) file format. Or just try reformating it on your psp.... Either way that sounds retarded. Good luck!
Ey why did you reformat it on your computer anyways and not on the psp?

I'm afraid that it is worthless to respond with more help until the author of this thread replies back after having tested other memory cards in his psp.

That's great. It's been quite the debate around here recently lol. I am pretty sure it just takes a while to load because it is a fake memory card, but if it works, it works ;)

If its taking longer to load than it did before then its likely that your memory stick has some corrupt data written to it. But like i stated before theres a way you can reformat it on windows and it will clear stuff out that your psp cant.
