Changing gamesaves for 3.40 OE-A

Ok, I may be totally retarded... I know that game saves for 3.40 are different and need to be converted... but I can't find anywhere WHAT needs to be changed and/or how. Anyone have any insight into this? Am I crazy and directions are posted in a million places and I'm not seeing them?

EDIT: Ok, I just put burnout legends on and my gamesave was fine...

Uh...no? I'm pretty sure gamesaves are the same for whatever version of firmware you are using.

(Sony has changed the savedata format, and they force you to change the format in 3.40 if you want to play them).

and then I had a gamesave not work... probably cause it was a game I had a gamesave for but no actual progress in the game . But yeah, I've only tried 2 games so far. Mostly been doing XMB mods. Anyway, thanks.

i only thought u had to convert top_mebus for 3.40 oe-a, man sony sucks, but i have to give them major props for making the psp and of course the ps3 witch i hav yet too buy.

No you dont have to manually convert your saves...just back them up (in case you want to go back to an earlier firmware) The firmware upgrade should automatically convert them for you.
