PSP\’s Eyetoy Equivilent? Here\’s the first shot of Sony\’s upcoming camera attachment for the PSP, taken by journalists at this years E3 gaming expo in LA. Essentially it looks just like the PS2\’s Eyetoy, and will undoubtably serve the same purposes, no doubt sporting a dismal battery life in the process. |

I don\’t know how many people have taken a look at our new PackGen already, but I am now beginning the long process of loading it with homebrew. This is a rather daunting task, so I would appreciate the support of all our users out there. As of 3:54 CDT, I will be adding homebrew to it by the minute, but I encourage people to use the generator and report any bugs the find with any of the programs in there. If your hardcore enough, I would love it if someone backed up their memory stick and reformatted it then used the packgen. That way we will be able to get it tested out from a fresh and default state. Anyways, check out the links below for everything you need for testing.

Dark_AleX has released a new improved version of DAX ZISO Loader -v0.6 which includes improved speed, a sleep-bug fix, and a few other improvments.
For those of you that dont know, DAX ZISO allows you to load ISOs from your memory stick in just about any fasion you can imagine (MPHGL, RunUMD, UMDEmulator, Direct Load. The real thing that sets DAX apart however is the fact that it allows you to compress the ISO using a custom compression algorithm, thus saving tons of space on your MS. Oftentimes, with the right compression settings and file deletion, you can reduce the file by well over half its size! Daxziso can be found in the beta packgen, and it includes both the compressor and decompressor, as well as the loader. Enjoy!

A new homebrew application \’Pimp my PSP\’. Pimp my PSP is an application that flashes the PSP in order to \’pimp\’ your firmware. It changes as your font, bootsounds, background and menu names to look more pimpish. This application is completely different to specialist firmware modification tools such as X-Flash, as it only comes with one theme – "The Pimpin\’ theme". Don\’t worry if your not happy with what West Coast customs have done to your PSP, you can simply use the \’unpimper\’ option included in this application. Requirements:
Although it has been tested to work on 1.5 PSPs, this program does flash your PSP, and with any program that writes to flash, It could brick your PSP. Download: Pimp My PSP – Episode 1 |

The recent release of PSP Firmware v2.70 has made people wonder about the possible effect this new software could have on the future of Homebrew. To clear up some of those questions, Fanjita evaluated the new firmware and constructed a quick FAQ:
Following this, he drawn the conclusion that the firmware upgrade brings little benefits (therefore, it is not worth upgrading) due to slow support in regards to Macromedia Flash files and the possibility that we might not see v2.70 compatible homebrew for at least the next few months.
