Wow..the psp came out a year ago…This is nice. I think this handheld system has brought some BIG entertainment into our lives. With music, photos, video clips, homebrews, you name it! This is great, this is only the first year of the PSP and look at all the hacking jobs and such. Just watch, another year will soon go by and we\’ll be able to use our PSP\’s as chopsticks and fork..haha. What a great System…

Excellent News from the folks over at Artillery! They\’ve been able to do a slight tweak to with the MPH Loader and just like magic, we all can now load 2.00+ UMD\’s directly from the Shell. This definitely saves a lot of hassels…

"We are the first shell to load 2.00+ umd\’s. We\’ve coupled Artillery with MPH\’s loader. There are 2 umd icons. The first one loads umd\’s the same way Artillery always has, and the second icon runs the umd with the MPH loader. There is no need to have MPH\’s loader on the psp to use this. The firmware must still be on the mem. stick. There are flash0 and flash1 folders in the MbShell folder. Hope everyone likes it."

Check it out.. Not only did the new firmwares come with a new lower price, they are now coming with 2.61 firmware!  This has not been comfirmed, but has been floating around the net as being true..  This is just mearly a warning when buying a new PSP, you might be getting a 2.61 which isn\’t compatible with ANY homebrew at all yet..  Watch what your buying, so you don\’t get stuck with a higher firmware than you thought.

Check it out! Today in stores, the PSP was released for only $199. Though this deal may sound good, there are some drawbacks.

Here is whats included: PSP System, Battery, and an AC Adapter. A memory card is NOT included, which means that you will have to spend some extra cash to pick one up yourself. Right now, these PSPs are mostly 2.5s, and will go up in firmware as time progresses. Sounds like a good deal, and for once, its here to last!

Ravine has released a mod of the Flashmod in our forum, which was originally by Orbis PSP Development. Flashmod is a program which is capable of tweaking various PSP firmware options. Ravine has added a font installer function in this version to prevent having to place the customized font on your memory stick, which means, this function will write the font files into your firmware. Ravine has tested this with the TeamOverload\’s customized italic font and it worked fine. He even included an option for you to set everything back to default. He also fixed a bug when you select UMD or XMB, it would automatically load the first option. Now you can actually use the 2.0 game loader and overclocking options.

On today\’s PlayStation Business Briefing 2006, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced an upcoming revolution for the PlayStation Portable. There will be tons of new features to be added to this divine object of glory in the upcoming months. A delay to the Sony PS3 release has also been announced officially.

New official accessories will also be released this autumn, such as the PSP camera "PSP-300" and the GPS receiver "PSP-290". The users will be able to experience the motion tracing function of the EyeToy, which was originally available on the PS2 by using the PSP camera. With the help of the GPS receiver, you will be able to make use of Navigation Software to guide your way all over the world.

Sony will be starting a new e-Distribution system for the PSP. You may start to wonder what it is, well, simply saying – to buy and download games into your memory stick, and run them directly from it.. bye-bye, loading times… But wait, that is not all the fun you can get from the new service. There will also be an Official PlayStation Emulators by Sony itself! Sony will be distributing Modified PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games through this system.

Also, the "Ceramic White" PlayStation Portable will be sold in a normal pack (PSP, 1 battery, power adapter etc.) from April in Japan, at a price for 19,800 JPY (167.8 USD). North American and European users will be able to buy a "Base Model" pack (PSP, 1 battery, power adapter etc.) of the PSP at $199USD/199 Euro. The actually dates are: Europe from March 22, North American from the end of March.

So much for the PSP side, now here is a bad news for the PS3 fans. Sony has officially announced that the release of the PlayStation 3 has been postponed from this spring 2006 to Moverember of 2006. However, the release of the PlayStation 3 will be global – Asia, North America and Europe will be getting the release in the mean time. Sony will be able to offer 1 milltion consoles per month after the release, to meet the need of the users around the world.

Here are some of the new features:

2.)  Rar support for skins
3.)  MP3 Suffle Function and Able to change songs while browsing.
4.)  Custom Language support and Custom colour support.
5.)  PSP-OSS has a second games folder for those of you who don\’t like corrupt icons.
6.)  Wallpapers can be changed by holding select + L or R.
7.)  Shortcuts on the desktop are examples of the custom icon support. In ms0:/PSP-  lll OSS/Desktop/there are .qli files. To make your own just rename one to png and open it in alllllan image editor.
8.)  Many bugfixes as well.
