You can get ahold of this release at Wiinewz .

Next up is a new D2C modchip, dubbed D2Pro (NOT to be confused with D2CPro, D2Ckey clone). Not much is known about this chip at this time, other than it boasts a 15 wire install. Wiinewz has managed to snag a picture of this chip. When more information surfaces I'll be sure to post it up.

just click the picture for a bigger image. Thanks to Wiinewz for the picture.

Coming from another site, Modcontrol , There seems to be new chips surfacing on LEH-161 Wiis. These chips (GC2-D1A and GC2-D1) are allegedly compatable with the Argon chip and some compatability with the D2Ckey. I'll have more on this when I can.

OpenWii v 2.3 has been released. However, there seems to be some problems with this release so expect another update. Here's a clip from the readme:

OpenWii 2.3 for Atmega8 (Chiip)

New features:

– SMG fix (original is working too)

– Automatic drive type detection (DMS/D2A/D2B)

– Bootloader bugfix (ALL previous OpenWii versions are jumping to a wrong address)

– LED blink codes (L = long blink, S = short blink)

Power Up: L S
Drive Patched: L S S (e.g. each disc change)
Set Region: L S S S (using setup disc)
Set Speed: L S S S S (using setup disc)
Upgrade Firmware: LED flashes (update is finished when led is off)

Have fun!

Version 2.3a are new Setup Disc Versions only, there are no changes for the Atmega8.

You can get more information at the OpenWii site .

 SSBB Update:

Unfortunately, this wonderful wonderful game has been delayed. The new release date is set for Sunday, March 9th.

Some good news though. Famitsu has given this game a perfect score, 40/40. You can check out some scans of the game at Neogaf.

Almost there… We have a release from Crediar, WiiTools v 0.1. With this tool you can extract and decrypt partitions from Wii isos.

WiiTools v.1

by crediar

WiiED 0.3
WiiSO 0.3
libeay32.dll needed by WiiED

WiiED Wii Extract+Decrypt

This tool can ED all partitions, or the one you select, from a
encrypted Wii ISO.

Place the key you want to use to decrypt a certain encrypted Wii ISO
into the key.bin file. It won't work without it!!

WiiSO Wii ISO

This tool can extract all the games files, main.dol, apploader
and the fst.bin.

You need to install this .dll package to use the above files:

dark alex put out his 1.50 add-on for us fat psp users, this will allow you to use your 1.50 eboots on the new firmware.

check out our downloads for the update.

Posted in PSP | No Comments »

good news 3.80M33 was put out to day by the on and only dark_alex.

what you should know.

3.80 M33 Changes:

  • HEN core: user mode can load now signchecked files from flash.
  • recovery: flash1 format will create flash1 directories after format. This could fix some flash1 issues with the previous versions.
  • network update from dark-alex.org page. By default is enabled. You can turn it off in recovery (when off, network update will download sony updates as usual).
  • Nids resolver for various kernel libraries.

Users should note: “…popsloader plugin from 3.71 will not work in 3.80 M33 due to its system dependency. A new one will be rewritten for 3.80 M33.”

Update: Dark_AleX has quickly corrected a few issues; thus releasing 3.80 M33-2!

  • Function scePowerGetClockFrequency / scePowerGetClockFrequencyInt was not resolved properly due to confusion between two nids applying to the same function. Fixed, this update is necessary for plugins and kernel homebrew reporting PSP CPU speed.
  • PSX EBOOT.PBP that have an icon of 80×80 pixels will not be replaced by Dracula icon in savedata.

(also a 1.50 kernal is not yet avalible)

my ez-install is now up: download

Goldeneye Heading To Xbox Live Arcade?

Goldeneye screenshotOne of the most legendary FPS games that Dominated the N64 era has been plan to hit the Xbox Live Arcade marketplace. The game was developed by Rareware who supposedly worked with Microsoft on this title.

Activision has recently bought the license of this game from EA and since they own the rights, they have come to an agreement to bring the Rareware licenced game to the Xbox Live Arcade.

Rareware is also planning on releasing even more of their lists of games such as: Perfect Dark and Banjoe Kazooie.

PSP Phone?

Well Yes And No…

A Psp App Was Released By The Noobz Team That Allows You To Use Your Psp To Make Phone Calls And Receive Them.

Here Is How It All Works:

  • It's Free Software – In Both The Beer, And Speech Senses.
  • You Can Use It Anywhere In The World, Subject To Signing-up To A Suitable Local Sip-based Voice-over-ip Provider And Being Near A Usable Wifi Access Point. In Many Countries, You Can Find Those For Free Or Nearly-free – E.g. With Sipgate, In The Uk, You Can Call To Your Psp From Any Standard Phone (Landline Or Cellphone) For Just The Standard Local Call Cost, And From Psp To Another Sip Phone (Another Psp Or A Pc) For Free.
  • It Runs On Both Slim And Fat Psps.
  • It Uses Open Standards, For Maximum Compatibility With Other Phone Systems.
  • You Can Use A Go!cam (Chotto Shot), Talkman Microphone, Or Socom-style Headset For Audio Input. (And Even If You Don't Have Any Of Those, You Can Still Send Audio From A Wav File In A Pinch).

It's Still Pretty Much Beta Software – The Audio Quality Needs Some Work (But It Is Usable), The Ui Isn't Very Pretty, And Video Calls Aren't Working (Yet!). But It Works, And It's A Nice Demo Of What Is Possible.

There have been several new listings popping up on eBay selling a "Black Dragon 2.0 HDD ISO Loader". This loader is a FAKE, please do not be scammed in believing it is a real loader. eBay is doing a pretty good job taking the listings down, but just be on your toes and know that this isn't real.
