If you’ve bought the new Evangelion: Jo or G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, then you’d be happy to know that there actually is a future for homebrew for you. I’ve been watching this exploit since day one and apparently, Sony hasn’t. Shame on them. they’ve come out with 3 firmware updates and none of them patched this exploit. Maybe this is the king of all exploits. Ya’ know, ‘The Unpatchable Exploit.’ It seems the code is triggered by a glitch in the game. Sony would have to include files in an update to specifically deal with the glitch. Due to the laberynth of legal contracts, it may be illegal for Sony to do.

I’ve seen comments on blog sites saying that this won’t ever get anywhere, but I must insist that you watch the video before saying something like that yourself. The guy that got this to work has a little program he runs from it. That is a definite sign of what this will probably turn into.

It seems like the EZ-Flash Team has been able to create another work-around for the latest DSi firmware update. Unlike the R4i Team’s bypass method, you only need to update the firmware of your flashcart instead of buying a new one, all together.

This is good for those who have already purchased the EZ-Flash flashcart but bad for Nintendo. The piracy rate on both the DS and PSP is disturbing.

It seems like ever since the iPhone came out, all touch screen mobile systems have had to amp up their GUI. The Windows Mobile platform is no different. This latest build of Windows Mobile gets shown off with really nice graphics and very finger-friendly operations. Check out the above video to see for yourself.

Flash

If you direct your browser over to Microsoft’s official Zune store, you’ll notice that you can no longer purchase a Flash Zune. If you really still want to buy one of these, then head over to Amazon.com. They’ve got a lot of extra stock.

This may be because of the upcoming Zune HD.. What do you guys think?

X

We all know that alpha versions of programs aren’t meant to be released publically and used over betas but this one is pretty nice. I’m glad to see many much-needed updates for this emulator. I personally love this emulator and you probably would too!

Sega

Yabause 0.9.10 is  SEGA Saturn emulator for the PSP. It’s experimental and not all the games work. Of course, you’d also have to find the SEGA Saturn BIOS by yourself. They aren’t that hard to find and Google will really help you out if you know the magic key-words.

HD2 HD1

Ben Patterson, from Yahoo!, was able to test run the Zune HD for about an hour. He wrote up a nice little article about the feel and UI of the digital beast but it seems too scripted to me. He praises that the prototype version for its size and style. It looks nice by the 5 or 6 pictures that he’s uploaded. I can’t wait to see a video of this thing, though. I want to know for sure if it lives up to its hype.

P.S. Don’t Forget that Microsoft and Yahoo! are now coorperate partners.

Best

Best Buy seems to have the Zune HD in its inventory system for $220 USD for the 16GB model and $290 for the 32GB model. According to this data, the Zune HD will also be released on September 8th. Usually, when these kinds of reports come out, the date is usually a few days to a week off and the price is usually lower than the leaked data. Are you planning on getting a Zune HD?

Pers

Some people have gotten there hands on a dev version of Persona for the PSP over at Siliconera. What’s interesting, however, is that the game includes the mandatory firmware 5.55 update.
