SKU

In June, hints and rumors were coming in saying that the XBox 360 Pro was soon to be phased out. Well, no word yet from Microsoft but leaked images of new packaging shows that there no longer will be an option to purchase the Pro version of the console. By the looks of it, the Arcade package will offer more swag for your purchase.

Acen

A while back, Apple approved it’s first app to be sold on the appstore that contains nudity. It confused many, many of us. There’s been stories of how strictly Apple reviews and cuts off apps for including too much drug use, sexual content, violence, naughty diction, and baby-shaking. Because of this strict policy, you’ll never be able to download a hentai reading app or a video streaming app for pron sites. Now, that same policy has censored, get this, ready? A dictionary app! A dictionary! WHAT?!!?! Right now, you’re like, “What the heck!!!” I know, I was too. Apparently, the dictionary contains too much sexual content to be released. The same dictionaries that we find all over America in libraries and elementary classrooms.

RBU

Apparently, whenever you purchase the new PSPgo at Best Buy, you’ll get a Voucher for a downloadable version for Rock Band Unplugged. Sony hasn’t confirmed this as being a universal extra for the PSPgo and retailers are leaving no clue on their websites for this except Best Buy. It could be an exclusive but it may be one of Sony’s launch plans. If you guys bought this game already and are planning on buying the PSPgo, you might want to trade in your version to Gamestop or someplace afterwards.

This one’s a cool hack. ubiq_01 has created an impressive and simple program to show off how the WiiMote and iPhone can connect through bluetooth. Apparently, many people have been waiting for this to come out for their homebrew programs. I don’t know why’d anyone want more accelerometers, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

MiiHero AviHero

Along with leaks of partial track lists for GH5, representatives of both Nintendo and Microsoft have stated that you will be able to use your personal character in the game Guitar Hero 5. Pretty neat.

Comparing the two pictures above, it looks like the obviously better done version of the game is the 360’s version. What’s nice is that while going through the game, you can unlock gear for your Avatars.

Other GH5 news is that the Wii’s version will be using Global friend codes so if you’ve got friends in the address book, you won’t have to find out their game-spacific code and they’ll be automatically added as a friend. That’s pretty nice.

The only question left is whether or not the PS3’s home characters are going to be in the game or not.

MW

Not only will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare be getting a sequel, but it’ll be getting a miniture, probably water-down, version for the DS. It’ll be titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized and be developed by n-Space. It’ll include online mode with 5 friends and feature “building-to-building combat.”

FPS’s usually don’t do so well on said console but with the Modern Warfare name, it could be nice. Hopefully the graphics won’t be too choppy.
