Tommydanger, the creator of the original 3.01 devhook installer, has given us an update to his original work, v0.5b. This installer can install firmwares 2.8-3.02. here are the instructions:
The advantage on this one is that, for you 32 mb stick users, after installation the update is deleted. Also to those who have had the problem of the X and O buttons being switched, that has been fixed. The scource code is included and you can find the firmware updates in our downloads.Eenjoy!

Sony\’s starting to get a little quicker with their firmware releases! But despite the fact that this new firmware "Strengthens Security", it\’s confirmed that it works just fine on Devhook v0.51. The only thing you must do to Devhook is uninstall the flash1:/ files and reintall them so that 3.02 will work properly. If you\’re feeling adventurous, try it out for yourself!
Still don\’t believe me? Here\’s a video made by Emeriastone of 3.02 working on his 1.5 PSP

Fiest your eyes folks! Its 3.01 Custom Firmware SE! You know this is going to be good, but to let all you curious critters out there, its a mix of 2.71 SE! How amazingly is that? A lot of it is bits thrown from the VSH function calls from 2.71 SE previous firmwares, so you know this is gonna shock the whole lot of you. Please be sure to thank Team FWI for the great pleasure of hard work and thought they have put into this. This is currently disabled from its full extension, but rest assure you have been p[leaded with a good download. Be sure to recognize that this will initially flash 3.01 Software bits so that like I stated above, will be a mix from the previous 2.71 SE softwares. This entire pleasured firmware features: • 1.00/1.50 eboots
QJ.net has yet supplied us with a list of non-working environments that may soon be capable on this new firmware. We here reccomend you to not even go near these on your XMB: • Online Manuals

Wow, thats all i can say. Thanks to Noobz, BOOSTER was able to make this amazing addition to the DevHook line up.
Here is the change log
Short but sweet. If you don\’t get this, you are dumb, or you have 2.8x and above. Yes, this is compatible with 2.71 SE-C. I have not personaly tested this, but I have read that its pretty stable, and the method of installing the previous version works with this one. Enjoy. [ DevHook v0.51 ] |

As many of you already know, Ahman just recently released iR Shell v3.0, another amazing milestone in PSP Homebrew. With amazing multitasking abilities, and countless other features, it is truely the most powerful homebrew on the PSP to this date. iR Shell brings to thwwww.dax.ane table the perfect balance of flavor and function, delivering amazing capabilities, without much visual loss. For an example of what I\’m talking about, check out the preview image below of the Xbox 360 skin\’s menu view, my personal favorite iR Shell Skin. For a more detailed feature list, check out this official iR Shell 3.0 [ Release Thread ] As far as extras go, the iR Shell Pack Generator does not dissapoint! You will be able to choose from a list of countless skin and rdf files, and generate your own custom version of the program with only the files YOU chose, not the standard defaults! In addition, the iR Shell Pack Generator includes every skin ever made for iR Shell, and the .pmf intro files for those that have them. That is something you can\’t get from a standard iR Shell install package, which only contains a limited amount of skins, and no .pmf files! Below is a partial screenshot of the generator, and be sure to drop by the QJ release thread and tell me what you think! Visit the Generator Now: |

Here’s some news for PS3 and PSP owners: if the handheld is updated to the latest 3.00 firmware, PSP<-> PS3 connectivity can be made via “Remote Play”. To fully appreciate this feature however, gamers should know that, Remote Play is only accessible on the 60GB PS3 unit (built in WiFi), and is supported with PSP firmware 3.00. For those PSPers who enjoy PSOne games, the Japanese Playstation store will release a first lot of PSP-compatable PSOne games for FW 3.00. While it’s reported that a firmware update early next year will allow you to play these games on PS3, there is, too, a simple process of doing it presently. All you do is download the PSOne title of your pick via PS3, remote-upload to your PSP, and snap – there you have it. Piece of pumpkin pie! PSOnes scheduled for release:

Dark_AleX You all know him, hes been releasing some good hacks on our Playstation Portable for some time now. Our downgraders, thankfully his first the 2.50/2.60 downgrader, and now all the way to his 2.71 custom firmware. Along with Dark Alex's homebrew enablers, its now time for him to release SE-C firmware for 2.71. The change in this version lets you load modules onto the memory stick! Wow! But unfortunately, the installation wont be as easy as you thought. You will have to install it from scratch if you have SE-A or SE-B previous firmwares. I would suggest not upgrading this time though, after all there are many risks, which are not put up to www.pspbrew.com for you to blame on. The reason would be just the minor change, but if you're that particularly interested for some curious modules to go on you're mem stick, then please, do not be forced to upgrade. None the less, enjoy! [ 2.71 SE-C ] |
