MFDoomPSP Prototype 4gb PSP Memory Stick Adapter
MFDOOM has created a hack that lets him use a 4gb memory stick pro. Here’s what he had to say:
"Well, this is a simple hack I did which involves a memory pro to memory pro duo adapter which allows you to use a 4gb memory pro MS on the PSP rather then a $350 2gb memory pro duo MS.
It fits perfect on the back left side of the PSP if your facing it. I moded the adapter to the smallest I could so it would fit on the only place I could find to put it on the back. The memory MFDoomPSPMs4GB adapter is detachable and still allows the UMD slot to open and load any UMD’s you might have. When you play on the PSP with the MFDoomPSPMs4GB adapter, it feels great, almost like its not there or a nice grip for holding the PSP during game play, controlling with it on had no effect on my game play.
This is the first prototype made, there will be a version 1.1v coming soon which will include an even smaller MFDoomPSPMs4GB adapter unit, satin black paint, and a blue LED." |

PSP Video 9 v1.60 Released A new version of PSP Video 9 (v1.60), a video converter and manager to make your PSP life easier, has been released on the PSP. Due to some major coding changes, this version does not support upgrading, so you will have to do a brand new install for it to work. The folks at pspvideo9.com had this to say about their new version:
1.60 Changelog:
It is possible to migrate your old profiles into the new 1.60 format. See this thread for details. View this thread BEFORE you install 1.60. This version of PSP Video 9 includes the latest MobileHackerz-compiled ffmpeg binary. This binary was compiled from CVS (with possible custom additions) a few days ago compared to the previous version used which was compiled in March. So you may see better (or same) support for different input files. This copy of ffmpeg also has basic PSP AVC support. The method used by PSP Video 9 to create AVC files is NOT the same as the one used by PSP Video 9 AVC. Users will likely have better file compatibility with PSP Video 9. The downside is that this copy of ffmpeg seems to only create AVC video at a bitrate of 768k no matter what the bitrate is set to (hence we call it basic). You can however encode at a variety of audio bitrates. |
