3.10 OE-A

It seems early 2007 is a pretty good time to be a PSP owner, especially if you were stuck with 2.81 or higher. With the new 3.03 Downgrader, now comes the newly decrypted, and now Custom Firmware: 3.10 OE-A! Other than the obvious change to 3.10 firmware, here are the changes made, excluding the new features of 3.10:
  • Change from 3.03 firmware to 3.10
  • 4th level of brightness (aka battery eater) can now be selected also without ac adaptor.
  • Changes in hen core:
    • Static user elf's can now be executed in the 3.10 kernel. (this includes snes user version between other programs)
    • Tyranid's patch (added in 3.03 OE-C) consequences was not explained very well in the changelog of 3.03 OE-C:
      • For programmers: it allows kernel modules to have user imports, making kernel programming in 3.03/3.10 less strict.
      • For users: plugins and applications that worked in 2.71 SE, but not in OE, *may* now work in 3.03OE-C and 3.10 OE-A
As for Popstation, the plugin released to load the 3.02 pops on 3.03 will no longer work, however, they expect a new plugin to be released next week! Now as for any program related to flash, there is always a chance of bricking your PSP. PSPBrew holds Zero Responsibility for what happens, but don't let that discourage you. Have fun with your new Custom Firmware!
