![]() Recently, the Noobz team were able to bring a new exploit to the masses. Apparently it's a user-mode exploit that takes advantage of the buffer overflow in the savedata. Sound familiar? – well it should. That's the same type of method that was used in the Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories exploit which enabled all firmware 3.03 PSP systems to have the option of downgrading. Now, however, with this new exploit, supposedly ANYBODY on ANY firmware will have the ability to downgrade to version 1.50 – and that includes firmware 3.50 as well. Sony will try to fix this exploit, no doubt, but for now, the entire homebrew community is gracious to be revamped and excited for those select individuals that have been waiting for this downgrader in miserable anticipation.
The downgrader itself is not out yet, but it is said that it will be in a HEN fashion, similar to the other more recent downgraders. If you want to still check out this exploit working on your PSP, give it a try! The download link is below.
