![[PSVita] FF3-Vita 1.2.5, VitaForge 0.1.8, OpenMW Vita 2.4.1, pleNx 1.4.0, MKW Vita 1.4.2 and 18 more](https://www.brewology.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/psvita-ff3-vita-2d271093.jpg)
23 PSVita homebrew apps were updated in the Brewology PSVita Store today:
FF3-Vita v1.2.5 by frangarcj
New options
Selectable from the Configurator:
- Aspect Ratio (#15): 16:9 (default), 4:3, 2:1 and 21:9. 4:3 shows more of the scene vertically, while 2:1 and 21:9 show more horizontally, with black bars filling the rest of the screen. The opening movie and the PostFX effects still use the whole screen.
- Swap Cross/Circle (#11): Circle confirms and Cross cancels.
Fixes
- Spanish: character names are shown again instead of "?P1???" and "?P???" (#5). The game's Spanish texts for controller play have these name tags broken; the port now restores them.
- Korean: the party gets Korean default names (루네스, 아르크, 레피아, 잉거스) (#12).
- Korean, Japanese and Chinese: character names can now be typed in those scripts. The keyboard used to be limited to Latin characters (#12).

pleNx v1.4.0 by thcolin
Added
- Audio files from Files play in the music player (#33). An audio file picked in Files opens Now Playing and the persistent mini-bar, like a Plex, Jellyfin or Emby track. The folder's audio files become the queue, in the order shown. Title, artist, album and length come from the file tags.
- Search and Files can be reordered and hidden (#34). They move and hide like libraries. Home and the profile stay in place, and the settings screen is renamed Sidebar.
Fixed
- Offline sidebar (#34). Offline, library tabs follow the order and visibility saved for the server, and Jellyfin and Emby show Favorites instead of Watchlist.
- Offline details of Jellyfin and Emby downloads. A movie or show downloaded from Jellyfin or Emby now keeps its summary, poster, backdrop, cast and versions offline, plus the show, season and episodes for an episode. Downloads made before this release keep their minimal details.
- Jellyfin and Emby versions. The Version selector reads "1080p · HEVC · 1.4 Mbps" on every backend, and Download takes the version picked in the selector, like Play.
- Resumed Plex transcodes (#72). The OSD shows the resume time, chapter markers sit in the right place, and seeking works anywhere, before the resume point too.

MKW Vita v1.4.2 by boomannotjeff
MKW Vita 1.4.2
Closer to the Wii: laps and Lakitu, the end of a race, course objects, item boxes and menus. Only the VPK changes: your 1.4.0 game files keep working.
[!NOTE] Coming from 1.4.x? Just install the new VPK. 1.4.2 uses the same game files, so there's nothing to rebuild or copy.
Coming from 1.3.0 or older? Rebuild your game files as described in the 1.4.0 release.
What's new
Racing
- Lap counter and Lakitu. Backing over the finish line no longer lowers your lap or brings Lakitu down with the lap sign.
- Finish. Lakitu flies in with the flag and follows your kart, like on the Wii.

VitaXMB v1.9.0 by dekiller82
If an update ever fails, download VitaXMB-v1.9.0.vpk from this page and install it with VitaShell.
Warning: columns of your own, Emulators and Utilities do not work with every custom theme. Themes that paint the whole category bar (full-height panels or strips, like the Xbox 360 and Euphoria style ones) have no picture for them: those columns are hidden while such a theme is on and their apps appear in Game. Other themes show them with VitaXMB's own icons, which will not match the theme. Switch the theme off (Settings > Theme Settings > Custom Theme > Off) to see your columns.
New in 1.9.0:
- Your apps where they belong. Any app can live in any column: Photo, Music, Video, Game, Network, and two new ones, Emulators and Utilities (on the bar only while something is in them). Columns can hold your own folders, and folders can be moved to another column. Apps in a column are rows like the Last Played disc.
- Move to… on any app (with New Folder right there), Organize Apps to move many at once, and Sort Apps into Columns (offered once at the first start) which files emulators, utilities, music, video and network apps for you and never touches your own choices or retail / PSP games.
- Arrange Columns: reorder, rename, hide and re-icon any column, and make up to four columns of your own.
- Trophies: Game > Trophy Collection and Options > Trophies on any game, read from the Vita's own trophy database (progress, counts per grade, every trophy with description and date).
- All new texts are translated into the PSP's 12 languages by hand; corrections are welcome.

Art3m1sPSV v1.4.6 by DeQxJ00
- Store cover thumbnails as DXT1/BC1, reducing each disk cache entry from about 182 KiB to 23 KiB. Compression and texture layout conversion run in the background; page changes reuse button atlases.
- Resize the bundled demo cover to 640×360 to reduce asset size and initial decoding work.
- Stop the cover worker and clear its queues before starting a game. Release offscreen targets, transition captures, reserved VRAM, transient E-mote GPU resources and archive handles on exit. Two device demo entry/exit cycles returned to the same launcher memory baseline.
- Bake Chinese and English footer hints for the Square-button menu and font settings instead of loading the menu font on opening. Device demo menu first-frame time dropped from about 3.35 seconds to 58 milliseconds; closing still releases textures. Timing includes rendering waits and is not a universal end-to-end latency guarantee.

Descent Vita v1.0.1 by KiddRwxSsj
Full game support (GOG / v1.5)
The port now runs the full registered game, not just the shareware. If you own Descent on GOG, copy DESCENT.HOG and DESCENT.PIG from the install folder to ux0:data/descent/ and you're good to go.
The VPK now has both builds in it and picks the right one on startup based on your data files, so shareware and full game players install the same VPK. Nothing to configure.
Tested on real hardware with the GOG v1.5 files: all 27 levels, the secret levels, the ending, saving/loading, and death/respawn.
Fixes
- Fixed a crash when picking up the vulcan cannon (#1). The shareware data has no sound for selecting that weapon, and the game tried to play it anyway. Thanks to Chubbles64 for the report and the crash dumps.

DX Garden v0.9.0 by hiraethclub
The first public release of DX Garden: a globe radio explorer for the PS Vita. Spin the globe, stop the crosshair on a place, and hear what's on air there.
This is a beta. Everything is in and has been tested on a PCH-1000, and this release is to hear how it does on other Vitas before 1.0. Please report problems as GitHub issues, with the log from ux0:data/dxgarden/ (log-0.9.0-b30.txt).
What it does
- A globe with a dot for each place: stop the crosshair on one and it starts playing. Or browse by country, city or genre, with favourites and recently played.
- Search by station or place name, jump to a random place, a sleep timer, and a dark screen that keeps the radio playing (it saves most of the display's power on the OLED Vita).
- MP3 streams over HTTP and HTTPS, with track titles, playlist links, clear error messages, and automatic reconnecting, including after standby.
- About 7,500 stations included (see below), plus your own: edit
stations.txt, drop M3U/PLS files in import/, or add a stream by URL.

Imago v1.3.0 by Sevy
✨ What's new
🫧 Restyle your apps
A new Apps tab, between Assets and Settings, changes any app's bubble icon, LiveArea background and start gate, for games and homebrew alike.
- Pick a picture from your memory card, frame it in the editor with a live preview (bubbles among your other bubbles, backgrounds as the real LiveArea), and press ✕. Imago scales it to the exact size the app uses and converts it to the 256-colour format the system expects.
- Seamless start gate: cut the gate from the same picture as the background, so the two line up.
- Your originals are safe. Before an app's first change, Imago backs up its artwork to
ux0:data/Imago/apps/. Restore the original look puts it back, for one app or for every app from Settings.
- After an app update, a customised app shows needs reapplying. One press puts your look back, and the older originals are kept.
- LiveArea changes show straight away. A new bubble icon shows after a restart, which Imago offers.
