Who here likes Sony? Show of hands? Ok, I figured there’d be a few of you. Even if you hate how Sony has handled the way they’ve marketed their products, showcased their hardware, or uselessly updated pointless aspects their products sometimes before addressing larger issues that homebrew coders developed workarounds for… (gasps for breath) well, to put it simply, if you hate how Sony has been managing itself, you aren’t alone, even though you like Sony for making your precious PSP.

Sony released their profit margins for their 4th quarter business earnings recently. The 4th quarter is usually the biggest quarter of the year, especially for many electronics businesses due to the holiday season shopping. As reported on Gizmodo, however, Sony has to acknowledge a 95% loss in profits due to harsh world economy. In Japan, they received 10.4 billion dollars for their 4th quarter this year…whopping ninteen and a quarter times lower than their profits the year previous – 200.2 billion.
