Grand Theft Auto IV, that's right, the 9th game in the Grand Theft Auto series has had it's release date delayed from 2007 to around April 2008 because of additional time needed to complete the title.
Why you ask? Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two, stated, “With Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar is setting a new standard for next generation video games. Certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected, especially given the commitment for a simultaneous release on two very different platforms. We all recognize that perfecting the game is vital and I can assure everyone it will be worth the wait. We owe it to the game’s millions of fans, to our dedicated development team, and to our shareholders to make sure that Grand Theft Auto IV is a groundbreaking gaming experience that takes maximum advantage of next generation technology.”
I guess all of us die-hard GTA fans will have to wait till next year untill we can get our greedy little hands on this baby. But, by the sounds of it, it's gonna be worth the wait. Check out screenshots and trailers here.

The newest firmware for the PS3, firmware 2.01, was released to fix instability issues on the console, but it may have done the complete opposite for Call of Duty 4. Angry gamers have reported that since updating their PS3's', they have been unable to play the online mode in the game. Of course they blame the new firmware. Some users, however, say they managed around two hours of play after updating before the errors began to occur. Firmware related or server related? CoD 4 servers have been very temperamental over the past few days… Both Sony and Activision had been oblivious to the problem. |

The Official Sony Rumble-Enabled Sixaxis controller for the PlayStation 3 is now available in Japan. Above you can see the inner workings of the controller.
It is similar to the previous Dual Shock 2 with a twin-motor set-up. A ceramic white edition of the controller is also siad to be available. The only draw back is that black buttons on a white controller don't quite flow.
With the exception of Europe, which the site is not exporting to, the controllers are available from PlayAsia. |

That’s right, Sony President Ken Kutaragi recently held a press conference announcing the imminent release of the Sony PlayStation4. He States it to be “a leap ahead of our competition”. He Plans possibly to have PS3 games run thru the new PS4 system, but with greater quality and functionality. He then later plans on Designing games made specifically for the PS4, but announces that this is not possible with the current technology. The PS4 is said to be released around Christmas this year.
It can only make one wonder what Microsoft will come up with to retaliate such a release.
